NASCAR roared into Las Vegas and it was filled with speed, fun, and excitement! From shooting driver Meet and Greets to the Hauler Parade down the World Famous Las Vegas Strip, it was GO, GO, GO! It was my first official assignment with IconSMI and shooting from Turns 1 and 2 is where my weekend started. I got some great practice and qualifying shots there! For the Nationwide Sam’s Town 300 on Saturday, it was time to shoot from the wheel fence down the front stretch where I was able to capture some amazing “through the windshield” images. Then, the big day arrived! It was Sunday and it was time for the Kobalt Tools 400 Sprint Cup race. My day was spent in Turn 4 and those cars come out of Turn 3 like they’re shot out of a cannon! Tremendous speed and door-to-door action provides for great racing and thrilling wrecks! From a car getting loose and turning sideways just a few feet from my lens to cars blowing up and bursting into flames, I was always witnessing the thrill of NASCAR! Please check out the images I have posted from this past weekend in the Motor Sports Gallery and be sure to fasten your seatbelts!
