WOW!!

It’s been awhile since I made my last post. Since then I have joined an amazing company, Action Sports Photography (actionsportsinc.com) to shoot NASCAR. They are an AMAZING group to shoot for. They have a tremendous love for the sport and truly care about their shooters. Working along side them has been both educational and EXCITING! From shooting kids sports to families to PR events, it’s been a whirlwind and as they say time does fly when you’re having fun! I would like to thank you each and everyone of you for following me and the work I’ve done and continue to do. If you see me out and about on a shoot or in between please say hi! As I always say…if you or someone you know is looking for a photographer please feel free to contact me.

VIVA Vegas!

Jhonattan Vegas aka Johnny Vegas came into Las Vegas proclaiming it was HIS town, followed by his rendition of “Viva Las Vegas”! But by the start of the third round of the Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open, he had crapped out. Kevin Na, a Las Vegas local who resides just 10 minutes from the TPC Summerlin course, came into the weekend and showed why he was going to take the trophy! And that he did, celebrating in true Las Vegas fashion! Check out the sports gallery for images from the big PGA weekend. If you or someone you know is looking for a photographer, please feel free to contact me.

Justin Timberlake hits the links in Las Vegas

Justin Timberlake hit the links at the TPC Summerlin course in Las Vegas for the 3rd Annual Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open Pro Am. George Lopez, Bo Jackson, and Marshall Faulk were just a few of the celebrities that played for such a wonderful cause. From the driving range to the golf course, the stars put on a show for all to enjoy!

The Yankees go BOOM!

The fireworks weren’t the only thing BOOMING over New York City during the 4th of July holiday weekend! The Bronx Bombers went BOOM at Citi Field during the highly anticipated Subway Series! The Yankees pitching was far superior with Bartolo Colon on the mound. Both Curtis Granderson and Eduardo Nunez took Mets pitching deep into the outfield bleachers. From batting practice to some great pickoff moves to first base and then Curtis Granderson going BOOM, I caught all the action and posted it in the Sports gallery. If you or someone you know is looking for a photographer, please feel free to contact me.

MAKING A SPLASH AT THE MINT 400!

It’s been awhile!

The annual Mint 400 that S.N.O.R.E (Southern Nevada Off Road Enthusiast) holds every year just outside of Las Vegas made HUGE splash in the southern Nevada desert. It was a CRAZY, dirty day and as you’ll see by the images posted in the “MotorSports” gallery, it was wet for some! From big trucks flying through the air to buggies coming back to earth nose first, it made for an amazing day of photography. If you or someone you know is looking for a photographer, please feel free to contact me.

MLB Big League Weekend Goes BOOM!

From towering home runs to stolen bases to double plays, Las Vegas’ yearly Big League Weekend was a HUGE hit with the fans. Not only did fans get to enjoy two days of great baseball, but they witnessed the end of an era…it would be Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman’s final first pitch with the Showgirls as he completes his final term as the Mayor of Las Vegas.

On Saturday, the Chicago Cubs took on the Cincinnati Reds, while the local fan favorite Los Angeles Dodgers came in on Sunday to finish up their Spring Training weekend with the Cubs. Please take a minute or two to view the images of Big League Weekend that have been added to the “Sports” gallery.

NASCAR- GO! GO! GO!

NASCAR roared into Las Vegas and it was filled with speed, fun, and excitement! From shooting driver Meet and Greets to the Hauler Parade down the World Famous Las Vegas Strip, it was GO, GO, GO! It was my first official assignment with IconSMI and shooting from Turns 1 and 2 is where my weekend started. I got some great practice and qualifying shots there! For the Nationwide Sam’s Town 300 on Saturday, it was time to shoot from the wheel fence down the front stretch where I was able to capture some amazing “through the windshield” images. Then, the big day arrived! It was Sunday and it was time for the Kobalt Tools 400 Sprint Cup race. My day was spent in Turn 4 and those cars come out of Turn 3 like they’re shot out of a cannon! Tremendous speed and door-to-door action provides for great racing and thrilling wrecks! From a car getting loose and turning sideways just a few feet from my lens to cars blowing up and bursting into flames, I was always witnessing the thrill of NASCAR! Please check out the images I have posted from this past weekend in the Motor Sports Gallery and be sure to fasten your seatbelts!

GO FAAAST!

The month of March is almost here and it’s roaring in like a freight train! NASCAR kicks off the very first weekend at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway for Matt Bolt Photography. The Sam’s Town 300 and Kobalt Tools 400 should be super exciting! The following weekend, the BIG boys of Major League Baseball slide into Cashman Field for the annual Big League Weekend. It opens with the Cincinnati Reds taking on the Chicago Cubs, followed by the Los Angeles Dodgers going head to head with those Cubs from Chicago. Check back as I’ll be posting images from both weekends. If you or someone you know is looking for a photographer, please feel free to contact me.
